SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Boys & Girls Club is proud to partner with The Student Prince & Fort Café, 8 Fort St., Springfield, for a Celebrity Bartending Event. This spirited fundraiser at the re-opened downtown mainstay features four rounds of local personalities behind the bar. On Sept. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., a select number of Springfield Boys & Girls Club supporters and alumni will be behind the bar serving drinks, and enjoying time with patrons, fans and friends. All tips and 10 percent of sales will benefit the Springfield Boys & Girls Club. Admission is free. Complimentary valet parking is available at The Student Prince & Fort Café.
Celebrity bartenders scheduled so far include Travis Best and Lou Roe (former NBA players), Blake Leeper (Paralympian & BGCA Hall of Fame member), Nick Tokman (TV’s Deadliest Catch), Mayor Domenic Sarno, Mike Baxendale (Bax & O’Brien, Rock 102), Brittany Decker (Western Mass. News), Peter Picknelly (Fort partner & president of Peter Pan Bus Lines), George O’Brien (editor, BusinessWest), and Malcolm Getz (retired CPA, serial entrepreneur).
