SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield’s Festival of Trees keeps getting more popular every year.
The 15th annual tree festival benefiting the Springfield Boys and Girls Club set a new attendance record this year.
It’s a two week event which began immediately after the Parade of the Big Balloons the day after Thanksgiving and was still going strong on this final Sunday.
“We have had a line all day,” said Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Sarah Tsitso. “Last year we had 13,000 visitors to the Festival of Trees. We fully anticipate blowing that out of the water.”
The 137 ornately decorated trees will not go to waste. They’ve been raffled off. The lucky winners are now being contacted.
